见或不见
I love love love the lyrics for this song.
But the writer is elusive and my chinese bad, so from some hard-working googling (and with the help of google translate) I garner this is an adapted (or not? i’m not sure) version of an ancient poem. Apparently this song is linked to ancient Tibet some Lama’s love songs OR from a 2003 OST. The websites are very confusing.
Either way...
Just finished a drama series
Now my internet life so empty. No catching up on next episode of Palace.
So in my typical post-series catharsis, I have to write a blog post to memorialize my thoughts n feelings for the drama.
Palace 宫锁心玉
So it’s about this girl Qing Chuan who travels back to the past and gets into a love triangle between the 4th prince and the 8th prince. The historical accuracy of the drama got me...

On love, betrayal and being a friend of God
AN: So pastor Robb, you also share a lot about relationships in your messages..Putting it in the Christian context, what do you think is the most challenging aspect of relationships when it comes to the church members?
RT: Betrayal.
AN: Betrayal? Interesting..why?
RT: Because you can either betray.. You can betray someone with words.. Remember Judas betrayed Jesus with love. He went into the garden and what did he do? He kissed Him. You can betray a person with love. You can say you love someone and still betray them...
You also can betray someone with silence. That's what John did. When he was in the court of the High Priest. When they were coming in and saying to Peter, they said, "Peter, you were with Him." He said, "No I wasn't." Someone else said, "Yeah, you were really with him!" And.. then lastly Peter then cursed, so that they would believe that he did not know Jesus. But John could have stood up for Jesus at anytime and he never did.
You can either betray someone with words, with love or with silence.
And so if you're gonna be loyal, be loyal, but be loyal to the scriptures. Don't ever be loyal to a person before you're loyal to God. People tell us all the time that what's important is that we love people but not before you love God, for the first and the greatest commandment is that we would love the Lord our God with all our heart, with all our soul, all our mind and with all our strength. And then the second is like it, that we would love our neighbour. How do we love 'em? We love 'em out of our love for God not out of our love for him.
AN: So, we've gotta get our priorities right.
RT: Absolutely.
AN: So if you see that as a prevalent maybe problem in the modern church, what is the solution to circumvent this from happening?
RT: Well simply it's that...you may have heard me speak about this before. But I have qualifications for relationships. But the 6th qualification is: that my friends must be willing to confront my enemies...
If in fact I'm your friend, I'd be willing to fight your battles for you. David was God's friend and he was willing to take Goliath on when none of God's man ever would. If you're gonna be God's friend, then take on His enemies. If I'm gonna be your friend, I'd take on yours. That's what I believe would be helpful to people..
